Senior Product Engineer (AI)

About the role

Hubiq turns the messy, contradictory trail people leave online into products that answer a real question. Some are consumer mini-apps, others are intelligence tools we sell to companies who need to know what people really think before they make a call. We build fast, ship, watch what happens, and change our minds when the data tells us to.

You’d be our first engineering hire, joining early: a working codebase built by the founders, no inherited process. You help decide what we build, then build it and put it in front of real users. One week that’s a production-ready Next.js app, the next it’s the Python pipeline pulling and classifying the data behind it, the next it’s working out why an LLM bill tripled overnight.

It’s early, and we’re building across several mini-apps and products at once. Some already live, some just getting started. There’s real ambiguity here, and you’d help resolve it. The trade for that risk is real ownership and equity, not a comfortable seat.

What you’d actually do

1. Ship products yourself, front to back — UI, backend, data layer, CI/CD. The first six months lean heaviest on the LLM pipelines and getting mini-apps in front of users.
2. Build the AI plumbing: extract and classify messy text, write evals so we can trust the output, keep the model bill sane.
3. Turn a pile of noisy consumer data into something a customer will pay for, and instrument it so we know whether it worked.
4. Watch how people use what you shipped, and fix what’s wrong.

Who this is for

You reach for an LLM the way you’d reach for a library. You know what they’re good at and where they lie. When something’s broken or missing, you fix it without being asked. You care whether the thing is useful, not just whether it runs. And you’ve shipped enough real software that we won’t have to worry about the foundations.
